To check this I translated "Hydroxychloroquine" into a bunch of different languages and then Googled for results in that language, and its CRAZY how you see the same sort dismissal repeated everywhere. And OF COURSE there's tons of stuff in Chinese trying to discredit Hydroxychloroquine or "羟氯喹". But it's also similar when searching for korean "하이드 록시 클로로퀸", spanish "Hidroxicloroquina", or russian "Гидроксихлорохин". Fucking terrifying.

It was a potential treatment for someone that had Covid, not a cure, and not everyone who used it survived, and even then the studies showed mixed results as there were things like steroids and such that may have been producing the benefits.
Does not really matter anymore though, better treatments and drug regiments are being used, and vaccines roll-out will long term solution. The real thing to worry about is will the vaccines have a long term protection? Will this be a thing we have to worry about killing off the old every few years?
