Other than going on ebay and trying to by an old US history book from the 1960s, anyone have any reco for something recently written that has US history from a conservative viewpoint? Looking for something I can read with my kids since they won't hear it in school.

i've heard good things about rush limbaugh's series
Bob Jones University has a wonderful curriculum. History included. We also like Abeka. I was shocked when the books told the truth about Mandela!
The Limbaugh books are age 8-12 or so depending on the kids.
Perfect thanks!
Go old-school books and explain how special and valuable the books of truth are to your children. Let them compare the truth to the drivel they get in school. They will thank you for it one day.
Prager U also, and talk to OLD people.
Glenn beck had a program with one that I really was interested in getting for my granddaughter. It was back before the election and around the time I believe when the hunter biden stuff start coming out.
https://openlibrary.org/ has quite a bit too, and is free to join. Don't know how old your kids are, but Robert Lawson is wonderful, though not so recently written. Historical fiction, I guess they'd be, as some of them are told from the perspective of the character's pet, like Mr. Revere and I. You can go on worldcat.org and find lots of history books and textbooks for children, sign up for free and preview them before you read them to your kids. If you have a middle school aged girl, she might like the Dear America series, historical fiction, but immersive, good for getting kids interested in American history and learning more.
Thanks! My kids are elementary age so these sound like great suggestions
Just found this site too. Might be some good stuff there. http://www.homeschoolchristian.com/curricula/history/livingbooks.php
While it might take more effort and depends on how old they are, I would recommend going to original source materials. Also, finding secondary scholarly sources about a topic you might find particularly interesting is good as well. If you want to study the history of the USA, I would start with British History, because we weren't created in a vacuum. Yale's Avalon Project is a great source for original documents sorted by century.
