Also their family right over the border and properties they own keep them kinda like living back and forth. people in northern mexico have a lifestyle more similar to an American than someone from central america or the "northern triangle" where it's a desperate hell hole and the majority of young men are either in Ms13 or 18th street.
I worked with a young salvadoran carpenter about my age little younger. Hard working conservative. Christian family values. But he said it's so hard to stay on the straight and narrow for young men there because of the gang culture. Which is one of the most violent in the world. Even make ISIS look tame sometimes.
