My gut feeling is that what happened on the 6th at the Capitol scared Trump. He did not see that coming, and abhors violence. I think he's a bit scared of his own followers now, which is why he authorized the insane military build-up in DC for China's inauguration. I really think Trump believes he will re-enter the private sector that he left, and everything will calm down once again, and one day another MAGA candidate will run and win the presidency.
I really just don't think he realizes what is truly at stake here, and what is going to happen to this country. You have to understand the DS and his "advisors" have kept him in the dark as much as possible for his entire presidency, working against him in any way they can. I just think Trump wants this all behind him now, and wants to make sure Biden takes office without another incident to mar his legacy as president.
He's done amazing things and been used by God to awakened a lot of people to the reality of our situation, but he's not going to save America. There is no signed insurrection act. Buckle up.
