The IA was invoked May 1st, 1992 & September 20th 1989 under Bush, April 7th & April 5th 1968, & July 24th 1967 under Johnson and over a dozen more times before that. I bet you don't remember any of those moments, largely because the IA doesn't override the Constitution/Bill of Rights it only grants the president military powers on domestic soil and overrides the need for congressional approval, which is exactly what we need at this moment. If you think Trump, the man who didn't force troops into cities as they were burning for months is going to use the military to destroy your lives, you're bizarrely confused about who the man is. He will use this power and the power to declassify documents unabated to arrest (and hopefully prosecute) the traitors and oath-breakers in both parties, the FBI, CIA, DOJ and others. The risk of actual insurrection from Antifa/BLM members is rather high I believe but there are too many patriots and trump loyalists for them to achieve a damn thing. According to the Declaration of Independence, it is their right to revolution, but in doing so it is also their right to die trying.
