This incident is being talked about with school kids almost like it's a second 9/11. Such hyperbole.

I noticed this too within minutes of it happening. Here’s what I ask out loud when someone mentions the Capitol. (I need to pretend to be a liberal / leftist to keep my job, not piss off insane neighbors, etc):

I wonder if conservatives were scared and upset by the rallies we saw this past summer?

Use the word “rally” even though we all know they were often violent riots. This one rhetorical question should get them to at least pause for a moment and consider that political action and civil disobedience has an effect on the targets.
