This incident is being talked about with school kids almost like it's a second 9/11. Such hyperbole.

I didn't even get a discussion of 9/11 when I was in 4th grade, and I turned out fine.

You know what I was doing in kindergarten (or elementary school for that matter)? Not being traumatized and indoctrinated by my teacher talking about the Lewinsky Scandal, Columbine, and the start of the Iraq and Afghan wars.

Talking to FIVE YEAR OLDS about "insurrections and political coups." Reminds me of that South Park episode on Sex-Ed and Garrison was teaching kindergarteners how to put a condom on.

God help these children.
