My neighbor where I grew up refused to pay his taxes. When the tax collector showed up to put a tax sale sign in his yard, he told him "if you start driving that sign in the ground, ill kill you where you stand" TC says " if you do there will be a whole lot of cops come" Neighbor says "and you'll be just as dead"
To my knowledge he never did pay any taxes nor get his land taken.
Obviously I'm not advocating violence or suggesting that you don't pay your takes, just relaying a story from my youth.
I refuse to pay taxes to a government that is illegitimate !
