We on this side I've noticed tend to be questioners. The majority of Americans are comfortable sitting at the top of the first-world 'food chain.' They are not questioners.
Try not to let it get to you. They are comfortable living day to day and accepting calmly what they hear because it brings comfort. It's mentally and/or emotionally draining for many people to try to question things.
