People who are in power and have some clout go to workshops, rallies, seminars, conferences etc. What we need is people going to and organizing these types of events. Just don't let the venues know what it's really about but spread the word through a network of frens. For instance, if your community center has rooms for rent, rent one, bring in a knowledgeable fren on some topic, invite about ten frens and have each fren bring one more fren. Heck, you can have a video viewing hour in which ya all watch a documentary on immigration or taxes or some such thing like. House parties work too. churches, most definitely. the thing is, keep it local, keep it small and if you must say a reason for a rental, be a little coy about it.
