if we keep up the "Build your own X" we could become a self sustaining country immune to monopoly leverage

We really don't have a choice. We need parallel systems for everything, starting with banking and credit at the top to societies embedded in local government and business groups.

We need apolitical banking systems/platforms yesterday. Thats a huge one. What do you do when every big bank and payment processor refuses to work with you? Nowadays most people pay with cards and if you don't have access to processors you are legit hosed.

We don't have a clue how screwed we really are do we?

i know how screwed we are, we are screwed at every level, personal experience and all that.. anyway at this point we need a parallel society or deal in the black market, in communism the opposition is blacklisted from everything as you can see and the way to deal with that is basically to exist outside of the system assuming they are not out to hunt you down in which case you either run or fight.

That’s what I’m saying. Cryptography is the answer here. To the server problem, the money problem, and the dirt bag ceo problem. The answers are there we just have to find ways to successfully implement them

Monero is a good choice to use in terms of doing transactions. Think of it like an anonymous e-cash that can be used online. It is a cryptocurrency where everything is encrypted. I've been trying to get people to use it forever because just imagine if you have a 100% anonymouse e-cash system. You could work and pay other people and no one would know about it (not even the government). That does have its perks if you know what I mean. Censorship resistant and maximum privacy. Now it is more important than ever because our rights are at risk. People want to silence us, doxx us, and keep us quiet.

At this point they're basically saying "don't like it, secede."

Main problem with this is the ISPs. Once they start filtering and blocking we need new infrastructure. Might have to start ham radio nets at first but can be jammed...

Amateur radio service is explicitly non-commercial. Aggressively so. Monetizing over ham services would be absolutely against current laws, rules.

There are experiments with networking, like setting up ad hoc emergency wifi access and so on.

A large problem is the speed of most anything done over typical radio frequencies is very slow. Microwave stuff can be pretty fast, of course.

We'll create our own ISPs. Simple.

ISPs won't be the problem with end-to-end encryption. ISPs can't break the encryption (neither can the government). It is our fault for not using these technologies. We need to start using them!

It seems to be the road we are on, and I think if we keep on going down this road the US will end up balkanizing. We'll soon have a conservative and liberal economies that are each separate and political positions will be much harder to change since you'd have to give up your entire way of life and probably move if you have a change of heart.
