Pence knew he wasn't going to do jack shit about rejecting electoral votes, yet he let it seem like he was. Then he decides to release a statement effectively saying "psych!" right before objections were going to be made triggering the rush into the capitol.

This gave the excuse for some not to object and for them to vote no on hearing and having the debates on the objections where the actual data could actually heard by the general public instead of the propaganda.

Also Pence should have known people would be pissed and made sure they had the appropriate security. The mayor made a dumbass or malicious decision to keep it light.

Yet Trump is blamed and Pence is the new hero to the establishment so wont get hounded.

Everyone on the right should be screaming about this and demanding answers.

The breach started before President Trump even finished talking. I remember reading Pence's tweet as President Trump was still talking about how he hoped Pence would do the right thing.

Why wouldn't Pence tweet that out, you know, two weeks before instead of waiting until the last second? There's also reports that President Trump and Pence hadn't talked since December 14th which makes his actions look more deliberate. Also curious of the minute-by-minute timeline, I suspect that surprise tweet is what caused the protest to get out of control.

Fabian tactics I assume.

THIS 1000%!!! Trump was still talking and going very long. People were walking away from Trump's speech and walking to the Capitol. The there was a tweet from POTUS about "Unfortunately, Mike Pence did not choose to do the right thing." At the same time the senate was taking a recess because people had broken into the Capitol.

This is what makes me think Pence was in on it the whole the time.

Word of mouth on the left is that we're blaming Antifa. We should make them know that we blame PENCE.

I’ve seen straight thorough his bullshit this whole time. You can just tell he’s a piece of shit by the way he carries himself

Do you have other examples of his bullshit? I'm ashamed I was blind to it this whole time. Would love to be educated more on the historic bullshit/ evils of Pence

You can just tell by the way he speaks and carries himself....

True. Tbh I always found his statement on never being alone with another woman odd, just made me feel weird. Like you can't control yourself or don't trust yourself? Maybe just me but turns me off a bit why that's a necessary rule to have. But I never really thought much of Pence just thought he was a man of God...ha apparently he's the farthest thing from that

Agree. He was very strategic in the timing of getting his letter of justification out to the public, too. Why did he release that? Was he required to? I didn't understand at the time when I read it, and I don't understand now. A million + people were gathered at the Capitol and he just announced he was getting ready to ignore alternate slates of electors. Why?

the only flies in the ointment are:

  1. Trump's rally speech on the 6th where he said it would take courage for Pence not to reject the votes back to state legislatures
  2. Pence not participating in calls for 25A
  3. the last minute of Miller's speech on the 1 year anniversary of Space Force (where he calls Pence a mentor and a leader through "the most complex operations of US history... 18th intel agency now

Pence is in part responsible for making Trump supporters on the edge ready to follow Antifa's agitation.

Of course Pence knew what he was doing. He was put there as an insurance policy in case the GOP wanted to take out Trump. He wouldn't have been a very good insurance policy unless the GOP was certain they could rely on him to do their bidding.

Agree with OP. Pence provided cover for turncoats waiting until the last minute -- as he did.

Just a thought:

If Pence fixes the election, Congress goes on as is. There is no "insurrection".

Let's wait this out before we know reality? I think Trump wants to drain the swamp... and now, he can?

We will know shortly if Pence played a part in the problem or a part in the solution.

Was Pence even in a position to do what Trump was asking? Idk the ins and outs of this stuff but I was really unhappy that Trump threw Pence under the bus with that tweet because it told me the two of them hadn't talked about it and weren't on the same page going in. I doubt very much the VP was saying "yup! that's what I'll do!" right up until he didn't. That's insane and and I'm not buying it. I'd really like to know what the two of them discussed beforehand, if anything.

I saw a post where it laid out how he changed the wording of something so he could bypass addressing the fact that the electoral votes were illegally certified or that there were 2 sets electoral votes.

Also Trump was sounding optimistic that Pence would do something. Pence should have shut down that optimism rather than springing it on everyone at the last minute.

Pence knew the consequences of his actions and saved his butt instead. Big betrayal for GEOTUS.

Pence was sent letters from the Legislatures of four swing states **asking that he reject the spurious electors **and allow them to correct the fraudulent election.

I still have hope that he's in on Trump's plan.

Honestly, life just seems so cruel if Pence really was just a traitor this whole time.

My stomach has been in a knot all week after seeing what he did to Trump.
