Starlink, for those that don't know, is the satellite internet service that SpaceX has been building by basically playing 52 pickup with a stack of satellites.

So not only does it help the pedes out in the sticks stay connected to the rest of us, but it may also give those of us that way a way off of the land lines a way to do that.

I'm in the queue for hopefully Beta testing. I'm so ready for StarLink. I'll be out in the sticks in my highly defensible bunker. Oh and you can download an Android app that maps the satelites locations. They roam a bit.

Good idea.
What's the estimates costs for service each month?
More likely to be censorproof than almost anything else.
Just keep Eon Musk on our good side.

I have no idea about the monthly costs, but (hopefully) it's on par with most other internet subscriptions.

I would support it if you can. speeds should improve as the constellation grows, and It's an American company. I don't think there are many other advantages, unless you don't have access to other high speed providers

Has the nsa tapped star link or is satellite internet likely free of such nefarious actions?

Didn't know there was a beta test. Just signed up since there is nothing in my area. Hope I get in!

I'm not what a satellite ISP and a messenger app have in common....
