It failed, the military said they were loyal to the president unless he was "removed."
Suddenly, the want to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove a sitting President for attepting to overthrow ... himself as he is the head of government ... TOMORROW.
Unfortunately for them, the Insurrection Act is for the President to invoke, not theirs. In fact, they don't want that. That's why they want him removed, so the military won't follow him if he invokes the Act.
Which means he probably already has. If we know all this, surely he does as well.
