Thousands of satellites will be able to watch every square inch of earth in real time.

there are already satellites that can see inside building via radar and lidar and the resolution is limited by law, not hardware.

Australia already uses other satellites to find weed plantations in remote areas such violations of the law.

There are NGOs using other satellites to monitor unrest in africa so the CIA can keep things destabilized... i mean... hold people accountable...

Don't worry that Elon is going to do it, realize the tech is already up there and being used.

the resolution is limited by law, not hardware.

So in other words, they're already doing it

XFD

There aren't even cameras imaging the Earth on the Starlink satellites.

In aerospace engineering, weight is critical, particularly if your payload is thousands of micro-sats where each bit of added weight will scale up.

Also, there are already tons of known satellites where this in the intended purpose, and a safe assumption that there are some classified ones as well.

Where's the fearmongering for all of these? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Earth_observation_satellites

Fear mongering? I have been pointing out the fact the government could use satellites against us for decades.

And who said anything about cameras?

There are still millions of people who live in rural areas who don't have internet service and aren't monitored by their ISPs. With Starlink this will not only be possible but probable.

You won't be forced to use Starlink.

Seems like you're just against more people getting access to the internet in general.

VPNs are already an easy solution for encrypting the data you send over your ISP anyway.

Won't be forced but what do you think is going to happen asswipe? Of course they'll accept it.

Do you really think VPNs are foolproof? LOL.

That already exists but it's super expensive to maintain and expand. Maybe instead warn people how a wireless solar camera with microphone could be placed anywhere, even in rural areas where there is no cell service, and could upload in real time 24 7 365.
