I wish that phones were modular like PCs: you could build them piece by piece, install whatever operating system you wanted, etc.

If only the main site would load! I understand there's a massive increase in traffic, but I can't view my feed on my account. Not to mention that it's very slow with loading. I am sups excited for their phones though. :) If they launch an app store and can import some awesome apps, I'll definitely be switching over! Dropping Apple ASAP.

Just de-googled my Note, pretty easy to do on Samsung and still have everything you need.

Yes, if you have a Samsung back up all of your apps and data to your Samsung account then wipe your phone and when going through the setup process DO NOT sign into your Google account, skip everything until it ask you to sign in to your Samsung account then restore all your Apps, Messages etc. Delete or disable any Google apps. If you're like me and need to use Google apps for work Samsung has a feature called "secure folder" that is a sandbox that allows you to use apps in a secure ecosystem without them running all the time on your phone.

Android is a Google OS.

True, but you can use it without signing into a Google account.

Unless you're using a Nokia running Symbian OS good luck.

Isn't the phone a Google Pixel with Google removed? At least that's what their tweet said.

I hope it let you remove the battery.

Lineage OS is the way to go, just find a supported phone.

Tuck you. For a lot of us, that's a lot of money.

That's the USA variant which tries to use the most possible pieces that can be American Made

They have a regular version that does NOT focus on "American Made" for 800.

That's the issue sadly. Less popular, higher prices.

I love that the servers are getting so much traffic that they can't even scale up quickly enough to meet the demand -- it demonstrates the sheer amount of people tired of the bullshit and/or waking up.

It's a Pixel 4a. That phone has horrible reviews. Does it becomen stellar when you remove google?
