January 7th the Mayor of DC specifically said that getting control of the DC National Guard was one of her top priorities. I guess people missed that.

Trying to get and getting are not the same fren

She might as well as said that she is going to get control of the lunar tides. She has no grasp of the fundamental functioning of either force, and no chance of ever controlling them.

That is all.

What, Does DC have a national guard? I thought it was a district not a state. There is no governor of DC so who do they fall under. I thought the US marines were were tasked with protecting the presidency and the US capital. It's all confusing.

What I do know is that the NG of Virginia sent in some troops on the 6th and that they are still there.

All territories have a contingent of nasty girls. Even our minor outlying islands and Puerto Rico.

2
DroolingElmo 2 points ago +2 / -0

They went in on the 7th after the fact. But you can read here on TD those of us living in Virginia that spend a lot of time on the Interstates saying NG and AD moving all over the FN place and NOT towards DC.

I saw large contingency heading south on I-81 this morning at 3 am and a very large group heading east on I-64 from Williamsburg towards Hampton early afternoon.

Something is a foot. Either the military is going to help stop the steal or they will ensure to enforce the steal but they are clearly going to play a part for or against us.

Wow, thanks. I reread the oath of enlistment after my post. It says "I will obey the orders of the president and the governor of the state". I also read that the President can take control of the guard for six months. Also, I remember hearing Trump say he ordered in the guard. But I also remember there being some confusion as to weather it was Pence that called them in. If trump called them in does it not imply they are working from him.

They have fortified the capitol because they're shit scared it will happen again...this time with real (as opposed to fake or absence of) violence,You have to think from their perspective.....if you have already been found guilty from false accusations, might as well make the accusations true.Either way you're fucked.I don't advocate for any violence, just telling you how they think.I'm not american but by fuck my blood boils for what they have done to the law-abiding patriots. They have also shat on the psyche of the whole human race.

Those NG in DC now aren't there to help him.

11
Pandachris01 [S] 11 points ago +11 / -0

They don't have a choice. Trump is their commander. Disobeying him is treason and punishable by execution while in a state of emergency. As long as what POTUS does isn't too crazy

Our politicians swear an Oath to uphold the Constitution and defend it from all enemies both foreign and domestic, yet we all know how many of them actually live up to that oath.

Governor's can hold back sending them.

For the military the commander in chief is the president but for national guard their commander in chiefs is the governor with few exceptions.

Its not that I'm ex military or real smart but I found this thing called Wikipedia

Not when it comes to NG or State affairs. That's why they refused to send them in during the riots when Trump wanted them. This is them putting troops in DC taunting him.

All depends how loyal the top military are. Not dooming but we have a week left.

1
DroolingElmo 1 point ago +1 / -0

No but first responder correct. It takes loyal military.....

mike232 1 point ago +2 / -1

Troops with no weapons LMFAO, if he send miltiary (highr rankings) the NG will bow down

1
DroolingElmo 1 point ago +1 / -0

Absolutely true, NG with no weapons = mall security

we dont know that but I do not think NG would be as reliable as regular forces in arresting politicians.

True, there’s not much you can cover in one MUTA 4, 6 or 8 once a month (and that was before they moved drill to online only for the past few months in a lot of states). When they are at drill, they spend more time going over required check-the-box classes like, Don’t rape, don’t beat your wife, don’t drive drunk, don’t fuck your dog and definitely don’t record it (though that last one is more directed at that couple from the Bragg that made the news a few years back). Those essential MOS skills degrade, which is why if you don’t live in a state where firearms are part of the culture, the majority of weapons qualifications end with half the company qualifying Marksman with only a handful shooting Expert.

2
Packman928 2 points ago +2 / -0

Can confirm. My NG artillery unit was using Korean War era Howitzers. It took half the drill just getting the FDC up and running let alone getting meaningful training. I recall a handful of civil disturbance trainings. The hard charging of Basic/AIT did not last because the setup just wasn’t conducive to it.

I'm ex military and don't recall the don't fuck your dog check box....probly too drunk

1
The_Bloofy_Bullshark 1 point ago +1 / -0

Pretty sure 1SG was drunk when he gave us that talk...

But, no shit, some couple from Bragg filmed the wife screwing her dog and posted it online. Of course they got caught and arrested, and it added to jokes about the 82nd. This was almost a decade ago, and I remember when my 1SG found out about it, he made sure to bring it up during the safety brief.

Pretty sure Governor's can deny sending NG.

Bramage 4 points ago +4 / -0

Not if POTUS federalizes them.

Stop spilling the hopium. This is not a thriller.

Trump expires on Jan 19. On Jan 20, they will circulate Biden and Kamala swearing from an undisclosed locations and will find a way to communicate to the military.

If Trump had any contingent plans, he would have activated used by now.

Have you forgot, he was threatened with the impeachment resolution on Monday, 25th amendment, his communication has been canceled.

The country as you know has been lost 1776 - 2020, RIP. It can rise again, but it will be a new country.

You keep forgetting, that those who obtain power work relentlessly in order to make sure their power does not diminish or expire.

As they used to say when I was at Princeton: "Sit down, Shut up"

No one knows what is going on and for you to imply you know anything is shardfarts.

No one will know anything for sure until either bullets fly or you are getting loaded into a boxcar. Either can happen this week or next year and no one but God knows. So in the meantime STFU

Perception is reality.

Until that changes, this type of reality will continue.

I wish it was not like that.
