Pede in Portland here. Downtown is a ghost town. They’ve destroyed the Apple store and many luxury stores nearby that are never coming back. The Apple store is permanently boarded up with a mural of George Floyd and Brionna Taylor where the front of the store used to be. My wife and I used to go downtown for drinks and dinner once in a while. If Covid didn’t kill those restaurants and bars, the riots surely did. It’s really sad, downtown used to be really enjoyable and pretty.
