Nothing here is 'official'. If you want this to be official, the article needs to look at the Italian Court's data base and search the docket and see if a legal affidavit was submitted. If there's no such record, it destroys the entire story immediately. So this is nothing more but oure assumption even though the assumptions made are on a good basis.

So the guy in the affidavit is real, he was already involved in hacking several years earlier, he does work for the company he said worked for, but they got his job title wrong. Then they say because he didn't have a lawyer closer to home, and that "something just didn't seem right" during the video of the lawyer talking, the whole story makes no sense. This is not debunked, it's just refuted. In fact, the affidavit clearly mentions the previous hacking charges mentioned in this article.
