Here is the reason anti-Trump radicals are pushing the current insurrection impeachment narrative:

Rebellion or insurrection Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
They want to cancel his second term before has has a chance to run.

But in 2024 they will have had 4 years with power of the presidency, executive branch, house, senate, SCOTUS, DoJ, and the legacy media.
What doesn't make sense about it? If they are able to say he incited and insurrection, then he will not be able to run in 2024. It's another insurance policy.
