1st we need some clarity on who actually ordered the NG there in the 1st place, what the initial request was for, what is the timeline the expect to remain, ect.

Even if Pence gave the call to send them in he isn't the commander and chief so all Trump would have to do is demand they leave the city and that would be that (so long as the commanders answer to Trump as they are legally bound to do)

So Trump clearly isn't sending them away but that doesn't mean he has any intention of ordering them to make any arrests or anything of that nature.

My biggest bone regarding the IA theory is the idea that it would be done with a public announcement. I was under the impression he had to explicitly tell those involved to leave the area or stand down, that hasn't happened so why should we assume the IA is already signed
