Has to be something along those lines. I don't understand why they would need 7000+ NG/Soldiers to protect DC coupled with barricades and emergency infrastructure. That's just the stuff I saw - what else could be happening??

I hope you're right. Another (terrible) scenario is that they killed the Trumps and are deploying the guard to protect them from us. Roger Stone can't get ahold of him and said they might have been killed like the Romanovs. Lin Wood said he heard that they were planning to kill the Trumps and then us. I've never been so on edge in my life.
If that were true, Nancy Pelosi wouldn't have attempted to stage a military coup, nor would she be threatening to have Trump removed using the 25th Amendment for "inciting insurrection?" That would be overkill. No, they are desperate and chances are, the insurrectin act has already been activated, or invoked, or put into play, whatever you call it, and that's why there's such a huge military presence in DC.
Also, Mayor Bowser wants to know if they are planning to deploy any more military to DC. They are NOT in control!
