Italy got hit harder because China owns a shit ton of factories in northern Italy. They fly in workers from Wuhan. When China grounded all flights from Wuhan to all places within its borders, it did not ban flights to Italy. Also, most people that died initially in Italy were over 75 years of age. And now we know that flu and heart attack and pneumonia deaths just stopped being counted and that no deaths rates for any age ranges in America changed so maybe Italy didn’t actually get hit so hard.
