They hold power, they don't hold a lot of power. That power isn't real either, it's hugely over-inflated. If you stopped thinking in instant gratification terms, you'd see how petty and minute their power really is. It only exists because people aren't standing up to themselves, which is temporary. And the backlash is already underway.
