In theory it might seem like that but I have to tell you on a lot of fronts AWS is absolute hell. Theory verses practice. It's very hit and miss if you'll truly gain that benefit.
I wouldn't put much faith in any American host these days to be honest. Europe seems to be doing fine however, based hosts grow like mushrooms allover the place and even the lefties are worried about the big tech censorship. Probably because they realize it could happen to them as well, but that's a start at least.
I had completely forgotten about Linode and BLM, and Digitalocean is like playing Russian roulette because you could get banned for almost anything at any time there. Vultr at least gives you time to "correct" issues, but I doubt they support free speech either.

Yep, that's how they get you, same with GCP or Azure.
There are better clouds with more transparent pricing and no traps like: Vultr and Linode. Or Upcloud and 99Stack in Europe.
Stay away from Linode - they are promoting BLM, they will take down you project on a whim.

Google/AWS/Azure is total nonsense indeed - they will boot you in a day just like Parler. Can't trust them.
DO and Linode are somehow better but not really. Vultr is only acceptable cloud provider for me personally but still would not rely on them.
And European OVH booted Wikileaks in the end (after few years?) too if I remember correctly.
Teraform and Ansible ftw on all things.... the ultimate "I am outa here" in infrastructure.
