In large parts of the US, the word "deli" is rarely if ever used.

"Deli" seems to be a northeast thing.

Yeah, I'd have to see some proof of what you're saying... I've been in the majority of the states, and have seen deli everywhere.

Now, yeah. But if you venture out of big cities, normal folks outside the NE (or LA) still do not use the term generally.
