I don't know why they were relying solely on AWS, they should have spread their stack out amongst many services, even smaller ones. I hope TDW is doing that.

Yeah I understand, but their own infrastructure could have been part of that tech stack with AWS complimenting it. If they had their own infrastructure as part of the stack then they would still be somewhat up now.

Eventually the internet will evolve into servers being distributed amongst the users rather than having centralized servers. For instance, all the users of TDW sharing a small part of the hosting on their own computers. I'm convinced this is the way forward.

The amount of power they have amassing in stunning. And terrifying. They control who independent businesses are allowed to work with, and can decide to totally unperson someone while the media gaslights the whole country into thinking it must be justified.

I hope lots of conservatives still have typewriters and mimeograph machines, because it won't be long before we're reduced to producing samizdat and smuggling it around from person to person.
