I know, right? Everyone should totally expect to be ripped out of the normal stream of commerce because of opposing viewpoints.

If it wasn’t Amazon shutting them down it would have been their bank or credit card company or internet provider. Woke corporations are settling their affairs at this point.

Which tells you everything you need to know about the fraud that occurred. They thought Trump had the goods or they would have acted sooner. When he whiffed on the 6th they saw their chance to act.

Well, the warning signs were there, they already did that long ago. I think it started with Wikileaks, when credit card companies banned them. Then Gab, then Alex Jones. Also actual far-right extremist sites like Storm... Stormfront? Some name like this. Also 8chan, I think. There have been lots of examples. It's mindboggling how Parler apparently thought "well, we're not extremist or radical, surely they will leave us alone!"

It was naive of Parler. Like that old saying, first they came for Storm-whatever, and I said nothing because I was not a Nazi or whatever they are. Then they came for Alex Jones, and I said nothing because - ok I don't actually know anything about him, but anyway, on down the line, until they come for you and there's no one left to speak. We kept reading books and seeing these clever sayings and shaking our heads for the unfortunate Russians, while still thinking it couldn't possible happen here.

But isn’t Parler a twatter like platform - which is not supposed to be responsible for user contents? All of the above are content creators, while Parler is their megaphone. Parler just offered a refuge for those who are purged by the tech oligarchs, and now it’s punished for that. Those oligarchs crashed their competition with impunity. That is outrageous.

  • Browser: use Brave (free)
  • Email: use Protonmail (free available, up to 500MB)
  • VPN: use ProtonVPN (free available, limited servers)

For commerce:

  • try using a non-US-based credit card processor (maybe even from an Asian country that has never heard of SJWs)
  • get bank accounts in deep red states
  • Email same use secure host (Protonmail, Mailfence)
  • Domain & hosting: Epik (they already went through SJW attacks when 8chan wanted to migrate there; see https://www.epik.com/blog/epik-draws-line-on-acceptable-use.html)

Last resort

Don't forget a password manager, Bitwarden or KeePassXC are both free and open source.
