Well, the warning signs were there, they already did that long ago. I think it started with Wikileaks, when credit card companies banned them. Then Gab, then Alex Jones. Also actual far-right extremist sites like Storm... Stormfront? Some name like this. Also 8chan, I think. There have been lots of examples. It's mindboggling how Parler apparently thought "well, we're not extremist or radical, surely they will leave us alone!"

It was naive of Parler. Like that old saying, first they came for Storm-whatever, and I said nothing because I was not a Nazi or whatever they are. Then they came for Alex Jones, and I said nothing because - ok I don't actually know anything about him, but anyway, on down the line, until they come for you and there's no one left to speak. We kept reading books and seeing these clever sayings and shaking our heads for the unfortunate Russians, while still thinking it couldn't possible happen here.

But isn’t Parler a twatter like platform - which is not supposed to be responsible for user contents? All of the above are content creators, while Parler is their megaphone. Parler just offered a refuge for those who are purged by the tech oligarchs, and now it’s punished for that. Those oligarchs crashed their competition with impunity. That is outrageous.
