It's not really a hack, they just grabbed public data from the API. Most of it is just the raw data without metadata. They don't have anything that wasn't publicly posted. Really they are just paying a lot of money to archive parler, which i'm sure parler was doing anyway.
Indeed. The story of how they got to the data is just straight up larp. Also, they claim to have downloaded every verified user's Passport / ID and that they sent it to the FBI to put those people on a No-Fly list (lmao), which is highly unlikely because Parler said it would delete that information as soon as the verification process was done and it would be highly illegal for those scriptkiddies to do that. But of course every commie gets a hard one from this larp story
