This is why you should always use fake info on social media... and don't upload your drivers license to big tech!

This is exactly what people warned about with Parler originally.

They predicted exactly this scenario. The verification process to join was such an obvious trap.

I think they can also prosecute the guy getting all this private info right? I mean, the info wasn't there for public eyes even when there was a security bug.

Can users or Parler CEO do a civil lawsuit or something?

lol. These liberals think that things posted by users publicly are somehow going to incriminate someone.

I've had people on Reddit bring up my past posts as though it somehow exposes me. Yeah, I posted that in the first place SO PEOPLE WOULD SEE IT....dumb ass..lol

You do know that means they also have your location? They have your driver license, your email.

This isn’t just posts.

Amazon was most likely involved willfully

Smells like a BS story to me designed to scare

reddit has a sub only for monitoring (and probably trying to deplatform) Parler

These people really can not stand the thought of a different opinion voiced anywhere.

Go back to school and learn to type first, then come back with a good argument. You are trying to create dissent here, not me.

Is the founder on the hook for false advertisements? Class action an option?

Didn’t Parler have security scare a couple of months ago. I doubt they didn’t beef up security and let it happen again.

holliday50 3 points ago +3 / -0

My understanding is that their "security" dropped the platform before AWS did, leaving a window of opportunity for hackers to run haywire while no security measures were in place.
