I've been using brave and duckduckgo for over a year now and I've grown accustomed to it. People need to start getting used to alternate things and not be stuck using the same thing. This should have happened ages ago.

Dissenter (a gab browser) is a fork of Brave. I’m supporting Gab.

I use Vivaldi for my browser. It has a built-in ad blocker.

I also use Wire as a chat application. It is end-to-end encrypted, you can sign up with an email address instead of a phone number, and you can use it on multiple devices, including a desktop PC.

If you want to browse Youtube videos but don't want to use the official Youtube app, you can use Newpipe.

For Browsers there is Aviator for desktop (Chrome based but privacy centered) and ghostery for android.

Wickr is a great messaging app that uses 256-bit AES encryption end-to-end and class to store no information themselves.
