Anybody who has ever worked at the Puzzle Palace (Pentagon) would know that all kinds of weird shit happens, and is covered up.

I grew up in the military, and I have lived in the DC area. It is our military's job to at least try to prepare for the next war. That means all kinds of gaming activity and visualization of all kinds of scenarios. People get used to working with weird premises.

It's also a very big organization, with compartmentalized groups that may work at cross-purposes. The general idea is to KEEP all kinds of notions in play and pick the right group with the right training when a matching situation develops.

Also, people can and do leak. Some leaks are purposeful.

So, a military person with a gaming background will readily recognize bits and pieces of jargon a leaker might use to send out information.

I would expect many military people to neither accept all Q has to say, nor reject it.

My supposition is that Q is like Anonymous. It's a meme. Some people love to gossip, and it's their career if they get caught, so they try not to get caught.
