It’s never really been about Trump. Sure they hated him as an individual. But what they really hated was the threat he posed to the Ruling Class’s power & privilege, as a representative of you

Twitter and Facebook were free speech platforms largely ignored by the ruling class until Trump used them masterfully to bypass the corporate media.
The corporate media used to be largely free and fair until the Shadow State infiltrated them with mindless talking heads and state operatives to parrot State propaganda. That way they could give the people one of two choices hand-picked by the State for POTUS. This worked for years until 2016.
Using social media, Trump bypassed State media and catapulted himself to the Presidency. Under the guise of Russian interference, Twitter and Facebook were dragged before State committees in an effort to bully and extort them into essentially joining the State media or die. Section 230 was their lifeline. Either submit or die a death by a thousand lawsuits. Also, like State media, their boards and executive management now consists of at least one State operative to enforce the new rules and influence the rest of management.
So thats where we are now.
