Why not just use blanks though so he doesnt have to point the gun away? That could just look that way because of the weird angle its being recorded. And why fire why she is so high up climbing through, thats still a pretty good fall and she could have cracked her head on the marble floor if she would have landed on a shoulder and spun or something. Could have done any other way and been just as believable, imo.
That's not how blanks work. A blank will still kill somebody at close range, or hurt them badly. There's a actor, Jon-Erik Hexum, who killed himself because he shot himself in the head with a blank... They need from 10 to 25 feet.
