Beware the awarded Reddit posts that sound good, but usually end up wrong. Everything about Parler on Reddit has been Soviet level misinformation.

I don’t believe this at all tbh.

If you read the post this person is referring to, it's very obvious larp

It certainly doesn’t sound right to me. Parler aren’t amateurs, it just sounds like the leftist version of hopium.

Anyone who did anything illegal and then posted it online is a damn fool. Giving Parler your phone number was stupid. Going through the certification process with scans of your drivers license is the peak of naivete.

I really don't get this, I made benign conversation there. I'm supposed to believe the government doesn't already have my license pictures? If someone was organizing terror plots then by all means I would expect them to be prosecuted whatever platform they were on.

I guess at some point you had to take a picture of your driver's license to create an account. Flip side, so anyone that had an account without that capture was a hacker. I would think the hackers are in deeper than any user for criminal actions.

It was only to get the checkmark you had to upload a copy of your id.

Gab has the same thing

Every government license/ID has a photo attached to it

Yeah until you are on many secret lists

I seriously doubt they need Parler for that. "Oh thank god we have Parler to access people's data, what would we have done without that"

If you weren't posting or participating in any criminal once again, I'm not the criminal.

Not the government, but a bunch of REEEEEING sjw and antifa types could have this data.

Employment? Oh you were on parler?

Or maybe antifa tards are gonna firebomb your house.

Got a nice juicy DB now.

I'm more worried about Jack Dorsey than those idiots. LOL

I don't trust parler. I think they don't know what they're doing. I respect Bongino but he is in way over his head getting into this.

So in addition to them screwing up, look wherever the dumps get hosted, if they have a hacked materials policy hit that.

It's already too late of course, but maybe it will do some good.

isnt this highly illegal?

Laws don’t apply to people on the left. Obviously.

As I recall, CodeMonkey said he tried to warn Dan Bongino, who has stated many times that he is a part owner in Parler, that Parler is very vulnerable, and that Bongino rudely dismissed CodeMonkey.

To be fair, Bongino is not a technical person. He's a cop. Of course he would put more weight into his own technical people over somebody on the internet named CodeMonkey.

yeah that struck me as weird. not even twitter has those verification requirements.

1
lordvon 1 point ago +1 / -0

and it is also weird that parler was just promoted out of the blue instead of gab.

Maga_Gator 1 point ago +1 / -0

If Parler was such a honeypot, they would only talk about shutting it down or censoring, not actually do it.
