Be patient. They are adding servers daily. You have to understand this is a community funded project and not big tech. Also it does not rely on other companies web services so adding processing power takes more time.
They've been around 4 years and suddenly grew from hundred of thousand views a day to over 5 million

They keep adding servers and every day more people join. In the end this will be an awesome site and I for one intend to send contributions to keep them going.
It probably has something to do with the 800% increase in subs since Friday.
traffic must be fairly amazing. currently unable to sign into my account. been on gab since 2017, and never had a problem before. oh well
Gab is being slammed right now with new users, first with Twitter/Facebook/etc. banning President Trump, and now with Parler being down. They're also getting DDOSed. Be patient, give it time. They're getting new servers online as fast as they can. Consider going Pro or at least donating.
