Any party stating they have to defend their democracy as if it is the institutional standard should be immediately questioned. We are a constitutionally bound federated republic, something that is mutually exclusive with a democracy.

Personally I see that as a demand that we dismantle the republic and replace it with a democracy, otherwise known as a call for insurrection.
