Tips on how to decode mainstream media: If they say something didn't happen, then it did. If they say something is good, then it is bad. If they say "there is no proof", then there is proof and they refuse to acknowledge it. If they avoid a news story altogether, or attack viciously the person bringing it to light, then you know it is significant.

Best to simply ignore them.
