The problem is the Democrats, the left, their media and Big Tech never came to the proper understanding of 2016. They believed that MAGA was all about Trump and without Trump, things would go back to normal. They think we're manipulated and dazzled by Trump and that's why we follow him. They do not realize there's a ton of people, like me, that back Trump because of what the Global War on Terror and Barack Hussein Obama did to this nation. Frankly, I would have backed the fifth name in the phone book over Hillary and a can of beans over Biden. I'm not even being facetious. I'd rather have an inanimate object as president than Hillary or Biden. The left never understood this about us. That we wanted to break the establishment very, very badly and Trump was our weapon to do that.
They think they created Trump by giving him media time. That's why over the last four years there's been all these articles about the media feeling guilty for having cause Trump or giving Trump a platform in 2015 and 2016. They think they created a media monster in Trump. They have no idea how much they are truly and sincerely despised and hated by middle America. They have no idea of the depth of our loathing for the globalists, establishment and deep state. They think our opinions and our movement is results of their media manipulation and their manufactured narratives.
That's why they never bothered to self assess after 2016. That's why they never tried to understand MAGA. They just assumed they were right and would not tolerate anything that indicated otherwise. They just refuse to acknowledge that mainstream media will never be trusted by people like me again. I have permanently turned off CNN, MSNBC, NPR, TIME and especially the Star Tribune (the newspaper of Minneapolis). They cannot fathom that they are dead to the likes of me and they think it's just a matter of having the right ads, coupons, fluff pieces and a flunky weak conservative to pillory. They have no idea the revolt started long before Trump. We were just looking for the guy who could fight the hardest and longest. We were looking for the guy that would give them heck and that was Trump.
