Brave seems to be a favorite around here. Ive been using it for a few months now and have no complaints.

Firefox is owned by Mozilla who is calling for even more censorship and deplatforming of patriots, definitely wouldn't go there.

It's a little surprising upon setting up Brave that the default search engine is google.

Brave is good. You can import all your bookmarks and passwords from Chrome, so it's an easy transition. It runs fast, and also supposedly uses less battery, so that's a bonus on your phone/tablet. And use the Duckduckgo search engine instead of Google

Thanks - already subbed to Nord for 3 years so covered there. Also in the middle of switching to Proton. Do you use proton? How is it?

It’s really good. I’ve had it 6 months. You can tie your Gmail, to forward to it, as you start to switch over, and away from gmail. If you have a lot of stuff linked to it, I wouldn’t just delete it. But make it more and more inactive

Brave Browser. Use DuckDuckGo.com as your search engine.

Proton mail is a great option to Gmail.

Likewise, swisscows is an alternative to US based search engines. Duckduckgo is easy to use w brave though.
