How to fix the US Voting System:

Must be taxpayer.

Receiving welfare of any kind from the government forfeits your vote while you are on it. INCLUDING "health care" subsidies or other tax subsidies of any kind. Welfare is welfare, period.

Felons cannot vote again until serving their time.

Must maintain a personal residence WITHOUT ASSISTANCE. (Similar to landownership in result of achieving responsible voters, but more reasonable for younger voters.)

Must be LITERATE and a Citizen, proven with ID.

IN PERSON one day vote, with Army or National Guard running the count, working WITH the locals so no one can maintain it was a military coup or that the locals stole the vote.

Bring back physical punched cards. We have better tech now, we can avoid "hanging chads". These can be digitally recorded but ALSO mandatorily hand counted to confirm WHILE the voter is present! Voter should be able to verify on the computer screen that everything was entered correctly AND be able to access the same individual result of their vote later on to confirm no one changed it. This could de done by printing a randomized code that links to the vote result online, maintaining anonymity to the vote.

No mail in ballots!! SOLUTION: A group of individuals containing one representative from ALL PARTIES participating in the election (i.e. one DNC, one GOP, one Patriot Party, one Independent, etc.) travel to homebound people as a group, by request, to have them vote on-site with portable equipment. (This is the only part that would have to occur before the general election day.) Results are uploaded during the visit. Each rep keeps a printed copy of the days tally in their respective party's records for later dispute resolution.

Public polling must be outlawed! It corrupts the process. No results revealed until every state has completed the vote count in entirety.
