He just needed to talk about doing it to pull any suspicion from her and even make us fight for her.
Then why not openly admit to it during the debate? Why not have the media push for it and tell everyone it would be a good idea?
Because then we'd resist her, and the way it went down we instead pushed like crazy to get behind her and support her.
