I'm there with you. Imy buddy said he could help me set up a server at my house to do cloud stuff. I have tons of academic papers across devices that I need access too. Google drive and onedrive are my last subscriptions at the moment
The only money I spend on Amazon is the $200 gift card my boss gives me for Christmas. I wish he give it on another gift card but beggers can't be choosy.
I know pedes aren't huge Dr. petersen fans, but he does spot propoganda very well. Basically anything that is disney post-Mulan is marxist indoctrination.
One possibility to consider for the streaming platforms: if you're close to someone that won't be giving them up, see if they'll share their account with you. You can then watch the shows without giving the platform your membership fee. They will still get your view count, though.
This is just common knowledge to me and makes total sense, I’m surprised at how many people I’ve talked to scoff at the suggestion of distancing your energy and money from these major companies. Their reasoning seems to be what difference will it make if a few hundred people delete their accounts, but I have a feeling they are missing the point entirely and are in truth just scared of feeling like they’re outside of the zeitgeist or just simply being inconvenienced.
Deleted my facebook and instagram last night. I feel... free.
Working on how to de-google my life now. Tough with an Android phone.
