Doesn't really matter if it can be used in court. I'd be more worried about vigilante private companies getting a hold of the data and using it to deny or modify service. Many financial institutions have already proven that they will deny service to people to far to the right for them. If they have a database of ID's from verified users, who knows what they could do with that info. Or private citizens just doxxing people. Who knows really.
