Although I do see one thing that is for certain - I DON'T think our government local/state/or federal should be using something like twatter to communicate with the public
Seems like we should have some web-software that is free & open source - and then it can be used to build your own communication platform that can then be connected to from others like the same. The government would then use their copy of this software to integrate for communications. Furthermore, any development to that free open source software, even if paid to government contractors, would be work that is invested and portable to the next version - not wholly owned by a private contractor (as in dominion voting). It's all of our government, so the software they would use/produce would be ours as well.. not some contractor from out of country or something.
This way, all "official" information don't go through twatter, it would reside in the government where it belongs. routing through twatter gives it too much legitimacy.. I don't need to be paying my government to be "social" on twatter (or any other social POS site).. doing so creates the possibility where an uidentifyed mob on said social platform can record their interactions with the released information in such a way as to represent "public opinion".. As Limbaugh says, why is twatter determined to be "the end-all public opinion".. it shoudn't work like that because it's fake! just because the left has more trolls signed up on twatter than the right, shouldn't give the left more influence over the "public" opinion
if we had the government back to running its own communications and not the private co's then the private co can't run out of control thinking they are the true source of all communication
