But really this is a case of us all knowing it would happen here and it still will. Will I really get in a gun fight with the cops if they try and haul me away for having 6 people in my house for Thanksgiving? Not sure, probably not to be honest.

No, probably not. Most cops have better shit to do. Most cops also don't want to go door-to-door and start kicking them in knowing that people on the other side are heavily armed. It's more of just never underestimating anything. That's how people lose wars and shit. And, in this case, nearly half the United States is being demonized as fascists (ironic) and enemies of the state. It's impossible to know, but possible to prepare for an array of contingencies.
