I'm leaning heavily toward Pompeo being based. I think there's a very small core of true patriots, and the battle for the soul of the country has taken a bad turn. A major battle has been lost and everyone is at risk. Pompeo, though part of the inner group, could still escape to build a separate organization to carry on the fight because he has been somewhat insulated from the domestic political war. At the same time he is unwilling to stab the President in the back, also he would have zero credibility with the Trump supporters.
