I get along with the college kids that rent the house next to us. I've been making friends with one after I helped her put air in her 'almost' flat tire. I taught her 'lefty loosey righty tighty' when it came to taking off the valve stem cap. She thought I was a wizard and had magical knowledge. She is a 22 yr old black American, quite liberal but doesn't know why, she just is. I asked her if she thinks Trump is a racist, she said yes, I asked her what racist thing has he done since he was elected. She did the predictable thing... swept both arms outward and said "everything". She fell right into it, then I asked her to give me a specific instance to which she replied: "You guys always ask that". I'm pretty sure I am not the only one she's had this discussion with. She's a good kid. She engages in conversation, asks questions and does listen. I keep telling her to stay liberal since she is so young, I tell her that she will wise up after she gets some responsibility and what not. At the end of every discussion I tell her that I believe in her and that she is smart, engaging and will go far with all the opportunities available to her and that she doesn't need screechy white liberals telling her what to think or get triggered over. This coming Friday I'm going to help her get a new tire on the right-front of her car, she has no idea where or how to do it.

"You guys always ask that". I still smile about it.
