We need a separate government that has nothing to do with the one we currently have. We're holding onto and fighting over a rotting corpse. Countries come and go but a nation is its people. We can make a new constitutional federation even more easily than the colonials did because we have easy access to all information and the entire library of the human race. If we can't build a new country in hostile territory we will never conquer outer space. Our species was never meant to stay here. We need to learn how to build small effective systems of governance that is easily scalable in order to handle wider societal issues or we go extinct fighting on this rock over scraps. We have to stop thinking so small.
Who knew that McConnell suggested judges would be so corrupt
Robert Barnes. He's been saying it for a long time now.
He predicted ACB wouldn't help Trump, predicted SCOTUS wouldn't help Trump, predicted "Trump" (read: McConnell) Judges would not hear any cases, and predicted Pence would be weak and not do what he could.
I've been following Barnes and noticed that too. I shared that on here but was called a doomer shill and it seemed like everyone hated Barnes, calling him an idiot and doomer.
Maybe the problem is that our form of government is obsolete. We're so used to this system that it never occurred to us that it's actually deeply flawed. We're seeing it right now. We need to learn from our mistakes, abandon this system and try a new scalable federated system. This isn't working anymore, it's causing people strife.
Our system isn't federated anymore. The beast at the top invents cash out of nothing and all the "states" are bitches that have to go along with it because commerce and welfare clause.
We started with a good thing and it got fucked up over time.
Our system as it was created is perfectly fine and scalable, with maybe a few changes. The problem is that system has been altered in so many different ways now that it isn't what people think it is.
Just for example: senators used to be chosen by state legislature. That kept them more accountable and kept their terms short. It meant they were harder to buy off by big corporations because they were just going to be gone soon anyway (a lot of times in less than there full term). After that was changed, via constitutional amendment, was when we started seeing senators staying in for 20+ years. They never have to see the people who voted for them, and they aren't accountable to their states ruling body. Graham or McConnell couldn't exist in the old system.
I was hoping Kavanaugh learnt his lesson well enough to be an asset, but I guess not. I'm shocked how quickly they turned on the people though. I guess the USA really is gone, now its the 4 mega-corporation land.
Remember the days when people would post based MAGA memes with SCOTUS pictures?

We needed 5 Scalia's but instead they murdered the only one we had.

Yeah, I ran into that also.
This would be a much different site if people had been listening to Barnes and not Lin Wood.
I was guilty of that. Barnes has been vindicated 100 times over

If there's one thing to take away from the last couple months is the lengths career politicians will go if you so much challenge their authority.

Seems to be the way of D.C. Every xir for ximself.
